da dobrowin: Manchester United fans are disgusted with the manner which goalkeeper Sergio Romero was sent off in Tuesday evening’s shock Carabao Cup defeat to Derby County.
da bet esporte: The Argentinian saw red in the 67th minute for handling the ball outside of the box, trying to clear it from an incoming Harry Wilson who was collecting a long ball. The sending off meant United had to finish the game with 10 men while keeper Lee Grant was introduced as a substitute.
Derby eventually took the lead through Jack Marriot with five minutes remaining but Marouane Fellaini equalised to send the match to penalties, which Frank Lampard’s side won 8-7.
United fans have, however, blamed much of the loss on the Romero incident in what was a rather worrying night for the Red Devils. José Mourinho’s men were also held to a 1-1 draw by Wolves at the weekend and now have a trip to West Ham United coming up on Saturday.
