da jogodeouro: After weeks of speculation Queens Park Rangers were finally relegated to the Championship.
da apostebet: It came as no real surprise considering their dismal campaign in which they racked up only seven wins but, after Leicester City’s last-minute leap out of the drop zone, some thought the Hoops may follow suit.
That wasn’t to be and like many teams that drop down a league, an exodus of talent is sure to occur especially as they have 10 players out of contract this summer.
They may not have been able to save QPR’s sinking ship, but there are three stars that still have a future in England’s top-flight…

Charlie Austin
The 25-year-old striker has been outstanding for the uninspiring west London club this season. Despite their struggle to pick up points, even though the squad has had numerous experienced players, Austin’s sharpness in front of goal has never wavered.
The Englishman joined the club in 2013 and has just one-year left on his contract, though with the Hoops dropping out of the Premier League you’d expect that he’ll quickly get snapped up by a decent side who will be happy to keep him playing in the top-flight.
Austin has already received interest from clubs like Newcastle and Southampton who like everyone were impressed with the 17 league goals which have shown him to be more prolific than both Alexis Sanchez or Olivier Giroud.
Robert Green
The England international is another player who has stood out for all the right reasons this season despite the never –ending misery present at Loftus Road.
His solid performances should make him a target for several top clubs who may see him as a good back-up keeper or even as their main man between the sticks.
Green would be a good option in either role having gained previous experience with both West Ham and Burnley and has several caps with the national side.
The 35-year-old has unexpectedly been linked with a move to this years’ title winners Chelsea though Chris Ramsey has denied any contact between the two clubs. Green would make a perfect back-up to first-choice Blues keeper Thibaut Courtois and could find himself playing in Champions League matches next season while his current team mates struggle in the Championship.
Matt Phillips
Despite his recent unsavoury actions off of the pitch, Matt Phillips has had a pretty decent time on it.
The winger has bagged two league goals himself and set-up seven for his team mates. Pacey and consistent his solid work has not gone unnoticed with both Southampton and West Brom considering acquiring his services for next season.
QPR value Phillips at around £7million while the Baggies, who also bid for the midfielder in January, are hoping for a lower sum of £5million.
Phillips is contracted to the club until 2017 but it seems more likely that he’ll join a top-flight team this summer than stay to help QPR bounce back next season.
