da blaze casino: According to Football Insider, Bailey Peacock-Farrell is set to be offered a new deal by Leeds United.
This new development may confirm what many fans had already speculated; that Kiko Casilla’s career at the Yorkshire club is over.
New deal
For the goalkeeper to be offered a new contract he surely must be a part of the club’s plans going forward.
Peacock-Farrell is a stopper more than capable of playing for any Championship club, and if he didn’t have a future at the club this summer would be the time to sell him rather than offer him a new deal.
The goalie lost his spot to Casilla upon his arrival in January, and in hindsight that may have been an unfair decision.
When looking at the stats, it’s hard to separate the two keepers and with Casilla reportedly already looking for a way out of Elland Road this latest update may be the final nail in his coffin.
Over for Casilla
The Spaniard has already been linked with a move away from England by Alan Nixon, but if his understudy is in fact offered a new deal, it could confirm his departure.
It’s no secret that the former Real Madrid man has had a torrid time since he arrived at Elland Road, and Marcelo Bielsa could now be tempted to replace him.
The 33-year-old had his worst game in a Leeds shirt during his last outing as his mistakes against Derby in the playoff semi-final cost the Whites a potential place in the Premier League.
Peacock-Farrell may well be in line to return to the starting XI due to Casilla’s poor performances, and this new deal is the clearest indicator yet.
